It's the end of the world as we know it.

I have to apologize to my lateness of these entries. I was without internet for several days, so here is the entries that were due.

I was playing Fallout 3 a few days ago, and was reminded of the back story: A lack of resources lead to global tensions and eventually nuclear war, and you have to survive in post-apocylipic Washington DC.
It reminded me on how we're so dependent on oil. Usually videogames depict fiction or over-exaggerated military action. But... The idea of Fallout 3 might be right over the horizon.
Our entire planet is suckling on the nipple of oil reserves, and the governments of the world, like a smothering parent, aren't giving enough “push” towards weening us off of the stuff. And the family's growing. Over-population is growing more evident everyday; soon we we'll have to give way to let the other countries fight for survival.
The Nuclear incident in Japan isn't helping. Solar and wind energy aren't advanced enough for global use, and Dams are only good in areas with rivers (also a dwindling resource). Nuclear power is safe, why? It's the elephant in the room. “Nuclear disaster” sounds better on a news banner, but “Traincar full of coal derails outside of town” isn't going to sell papers.
And that power plant was 50 years old. My mother (god bless her) is fifty and naps in the afternoon. Buildings that are 50 years old creek when the wind blows.
To end my thoughts: A 50 year old nuclear power plant survived an earthquake and a tsunami and was able to keep most of the nuclear material encased and under control, yet you can look me in the eye and tell me it's not safe?

What's in the box?

I once read a book by Bill Byrson. It was his auto-biography about his life as a child in the 50's & 60's. He writes how, while he stayed in Washington DC, there was violence and gunshots and rape-screams outside; he was inside, listening to his AC hum. He talks about how everyone alienates themselves in their apartments and rooms listening to their Ac hum.
What's wrong with us? People say social networks are bringing people closer together, but they give us an excuse to be father apart. I'm actually a victim of this, a few emails ruined many online friendships I had, and sadly few recovered. Inagine if I had actually talked to these people, heard what they had to say?
And we lack patience. Everyone is texting 5 letter sentences. Sexting, break ups on peoples “walls”, and face to face conversations turned into mere letters on the screen. It's easy to say “fuck you” to a bunch of text, but it's hard to do it to a face, to an actual person.
You know what? I'm going to write a letter. I'm going to sit down, get out a pen, and write an actual letter. It's a lost art really, sitting down to actually right something heartfelt and nice to someone, with an actual pencil.
But first I need some a addresses to write to... Ladies?

Edit: The book was "The life and Times of the Thunder Bolt Kid" by Bill Bryson.

School and stuff

The worst thing about my school is the work ethic. It seams like every other student doesn't give two nickles about their work. They rather discuss things like “Bad Girls Club” and how person A told Person B blah blah blah about person C, then B told D and D told C then C got into a fight with A over it. And blah blah blah.
The whole reason I haven't gone insane and committed an act of mass destruction is the vauge promise that this isn't REAL. Sure it's real, but it isn't real life. I asked more people then I'll ever actually meet, read more blogs then books in my library and glanced at so many youtube comments and they all say one thing: It gets better. From what I read high-school isn't the flight itself, it's just the take off; If not then high-school is the pre-flight safety demonstration thing, where they tell you a bunch of useful information. My point is: What we do here won't matter, because all that does matter is the information that'll save us in the end. That's what my money is on, what I'm basing my entire high-school career is about. I'm here to learn and get the hell out. This is why I don't care about who smacked who on the news or whatever people are watching today. I've stopped caring.

Un-informative.

At the time of this writing, I'm trying to find something to write about. After taking the suggestion to check Aol.com, it stumbled right into my lap.
There was nothing to write about. Nothing. Japan is in Crisis. The government might shut down, and the New York Education Councilor left office a few days ago (if they can give me the whether, why not local news).
At the end of the day, there are more important things in the world then a recipe for chili. We are keeping the world in ignornace by dousing their minds in unnecessary gossip that adds nothing to the communitive thought process of this generation. As we dive slowly into ignorance, we will lose control of our beings. Becoming nothing but mindless zombies who grunt "did you see badgirls club last night" between daily munchies of snack foods.
